Gilbert N. Taylor, Lt/Paramedic, I/C, FIT  President & CEO

Gilbert is the IEME Founder and remains the President and CEO.  Gilbert began his EMS career in 1985 as an EMT, he then attended Nursing School but returned to EMS and Fire where his passion laid.  Gilbert advanced through the various EMT Levels and became a Paramedic in 1989 and currently is both Massachusetts and National Registry certified.  Gilbert has worked in a variety of Fire, Industrial and EMS environments and is currently still serving as a dual role/crossed trained Fire Lieutenant/Paramedic and Fire Investigator. Gilbert has many provider and instructor credentials from various organizations, which includes the Massachusetts Instructor/ Coordinator designation, CPR/ACLS/PALS Instructor and CPR Instructor/Trainer. Gilbert also holds several advanced ratings as a public safety diver and technical rescue technician. OSHA 10 & 30 in Construction, OSHA 500 & 510, GWO Offshore.  In addition to his administrative duties, Gilbert still actively teaches many IEME programs and is the IEME Technical Rescue Team Leader.

Paul started his EMS/Firefighting career in 2007 with the City in Norfolk, Virginia. Paul is currently a NREMT-P & a Massachusetts certified Paramedic.  A graduate of Suffolk University, Paul has worked in a variety of Medical, EMS and Fire departments, his roles include supervisory, preceptor and safety positions. Paul has many provider and instructor credentials from various organizations, which includes, AHA CPR/ACLS/PALS Instructor and National Fire Pro-Board Association.  Paul received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army and Massachusetts National Guard in 1986.  Paul has back grounds in OSHA Safety Compliance in Construction, Crisis Intervention and Prevention, technical rescue and disaster operations. Paul specializes in pediatric critical care.

Pamela S. Taylor, EMT
Vice President

Pam began her EMS career as an EMT in 1996 and then advancing to Paramedic. Pam is currently a Massachusetts certified EMT.  Pam has worked in a variety of Medical, EMS and Industrial environments in clinical, supervisory, preceptor and safety positions.  Pam has many provider and instructor credentials from various organizations, which includes, AHA CPR/ACLS/PALS Instructor.  Pam has back grounds in OSHA Safety Compliance in Construction, Crisis Intervention and Prevention, technical rescue and disaster operations..  Pam specializes in working with students with learning disabilities

Christopher Santos, FF/Paramedic 
V.P. of Industrial and Tactical Operations

Christopher began his career in 1993 as an EMT advancing to Paramedic in 1999 and is currently a Massachusetts Paramedic. Christopher has worked in a variety of Fire, Industrial, Tactical and EMS environments and is currently still serving as a dual role/crossed trained Fighter/Paramedic. Chris has many provider and instructor credentials from various organizations, which includes CPR/ACLS/PALS Instructor. Christopher also holds several advanced ratings in Tactical EMS and SWAT, Live Fire CQB Facility Management and Tactical Operations, OSHA 10 & 30 in Construction, technical rescue. In addition to his administrative duties, Christopher still serves as a staff instructor that specializes in OSHA and Industrial Contracts and as the Assistant Team Leader for IEME’s Tech Rescue Team

Dr. M. John Mendelsohn, MD,FAAEM, IEME Medical Director

John is an Emergency Room Physician. In addition, John has specialized in Clinical Toxicology and has been published in several books and articles on the subject. He has served as a Faculty Instructor & Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Allegheny University of the Health Sciences MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine; as well as serving as a Lecturer at many conferences and Grand Rounds. In addition to his many professional affiliations, John is also a recipient of the Doreen Harris Memorial Award for Medical Excellence from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Andrew Morrison, EMT
Instructor

Andrew is a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a B.S. in Marine Transportation and a Masters of Science in Emergency Management. While at Mass Maritime, Andrew was the Deputy Chief of Training and then the Chief of Department for MMA EMS. Andrew works as an EMT in Rhode Island, and as a 3rd Officer on an Oil/Chemical Tanker. Andrew is NREMT certified and licensed in RI, MA, and CT and is an AHA BLS instructor.
